KitchenAid Introduces Next Appliance Suite Evolution with Architect® Series II

CHICAGO (McCormick Place, Booth #4067) (April 21, 2006) – KitchenAid brand introduces an evolution of its prominent Architect® Series with the introduction of KitchenAid® Architect® Series II. This new suite of appliances combines the durability and performance of the original Architect® Series with a cohesive style, consistent design and advanced product features. The result is a suite attuned to the meticulous cooking processes without radical design change.

"All great things must evolve. KitchenAid® Architect® Series II is a refinement of the original Architect® Series rather than a completely new design," said Tracy Frye, contract marketing manager at Whirlpool Corporation. "We've taken what has made the original series so great, and fine-tuned the details."

KitchenAid® Architect® Series II was designed to put cooks in control of every process of cooking and clean-up. Each element of the series was created with a purpose. Convection heat in the new ranges allow for browning more evenly, even with all racks in use. Precise cooktop controls can take burners from a low simmer to high sear and anywhere in between with ease. Larger windows in the oven help cooks keep a better eye on food cooking. Handles are easier to grip, even with an oven mitt. Indishwasher disposers grind and wash away food, requiring less pre-rinsing. Beveled, seamless edges make cleaning easy.

"For passionate cooks and entertainers, cooking is about the nuances and attention to details. From ingredients to appliance features, every meticulous element in the kitchen is important," said Frye.

Architect® Series II freestanding appliances will be launched in the third quarter of 2006, while built-in appliances will be launched in the first quarter of 2007.
