Lennox introduces first comprehensive line of ozone-free residential indoor air quality products

DALLAS – April 4, 2007 – Lennox Industries has announced the introduction of the industry's first comprehensive line of residential indoor air quality (IAQ) products that do not produce ground-level ozone. A recognized leader in the climate control industry for 112 years, Lennox Industries is a division of Lennox International Inc. (NYSE: LII).

Indoor air quality products such as electronic air cleaners and portable ionic air purifiers are often used to improve air quality in homes, yet many produce ozone. According to the American Lung Association, ozone exposure may lead to shortness of breath and chest pain when inhaling deeply, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates one out of every three people in the United States is at a higher risk of experiencing problems from ground-level ozone.

Aside from not producing ozone, Lennox' Healthy Climate® IAQ products address a wide variety of common IAQ issues with industry-leading performance. Available products include air purification systems, media air cleaners, high-efficiency particulate (HEPA) filters, ultraviolet germicidal lights, humidifiers and dehumidifiers, and heat- and energy-recovery ventilators.
